“Take A Hike" Campaign

Andrew Roche, a motivated Scotch College student, recently completed a long hike along the gorgeous Perth coast in support of child health. Partly as a personal challenge for his Year 10 Project and partly to raise awareness and funds for BrightSpark, he set off at sunrise on the 6th April from Sorrento Quays and after 5 hard hours, finished up at Cottesloe Beach.
A total distance of 24 Kilometers. We think getting a teenager up before sunrise is a an achievement in itself!
He said he really enjoyed the challenge and that it was much further than he thought it would be. Thanks to his fellow hikers, Michael and Lewis for joining in and thanks to the team of keen volunteers who were up before sunrise making them breakfast, hiking bits of the walk and cheering them on.
